The Rat was unmounted to make some new modifications to the frame , I modiefied the frame for the second time to a single downtube  and a ghoosenneck style ! Other nice projects captured my interest so the frame stayed in the Backyard , till now ...:) The frame will Go To Alexandru in Chisinau to rebuild the rat with the new frame!

Dnepr/ Ural Valve Cover mould !

A friend sad to me he could make some ceramic Moulds, for casting my Covers For the Ural . I liked them so much , that I didn't want to use them ! I prefer to keep them, because each casting of each part needs another Mould like this ! So I will use sand casting . sandcasting bastybikes valve covers part 2

After testing my new aluminium casting funeral and getting the aluminium to melt , i wanted to try to get it in my sandmould ....

After seeing this some months ago at the casting guys , i wanted to try and get this job done right in my workshop .... and it was a succes :) ...

the part that is fitting the valve covers was my first part i ever casted by myself :) and it looked very good ....

so this week was casting week for the Gearheads that asked for the valve covers .... :)
