Norton Cafe racer

The Norton got some attention in the evenings of the last week so i mounted on the front a home-made front fork ( made by the same man Munteanu Florin  that also Had the machine for more than 30 years and rode it  probably over 100.000 km ) Fork is running on air / springs ( air for fine adjusting ) . i added an original Road-holder fork upper three , and the home made lower one .

As the engine is all modified to bigger bore , home made  cylinders  , Modified timing , Racing Cams , Bigger valves , bigger bored cylinder-head (intake exhaust )  twin  Racing Dellorto Carburetor , there is no repair manual for this bike , there is only the man who built it , that knows everything in the engine.
We made an inspection on the engine and everything looks good on the inside :)

I changed the oem oiltank as it could only be fitted sideways because of the Dellorto Carbs & filter . and i made a new alloy oiltank , closed the frame in the rear , and added a stainless battery tray that should hold a small battery . Polished the timing part .

This frame  almoust got transformed into a chopper  so we saved it from the 'Chop and:

Finally got the time to throw out the 21 inch cross front wheel and add a nice front wheel ( thx Bebe ) !

added also a cool adjustable handlebar that used to be used on a vintage bike , by an old man from Bucharest .He was using this handlebar on the vintage bike but flipped upside down ...

we borowed from the suzuki GS 550   the seatpan,  to have the line , that the English  Norton should have .

also started to build the alloy oil tank ( the stock will not fit in  any more as the bike has Dellorto racing Carbs ) 

Norton Atlas 750 SS Tune Up racer !

A beautiful basis for building one  Bad ass Cafe Racer one day !
It is powered by an Norton Atlas 750 ss engine , but it has a lot of Tune ups made in the 70's and 80's By the man that rode this Motorbike for more than 30 years!
Bigger diameter intake Valves , double Dellorto  vintage racing Carbs , Bigger Bore ( the old man estimates around 900cc , Artizanal cylinder !
The frame/ transmission  is comming from the Norton dominator 650 ... so the bike is already a hybrid :)
First Kick , and it was rumbling ! A real Tune Up Rocker Machine !
